Green Dog Volunteer Training

.

You need to attend a General Orientation session before signing up for a dog training class. That is where you sign the liability waivers, as well as get the password to sign up for the dog class. The password for the green dog class is highlighted in the packet you receive in General Orientation.

  • Come to the back door to meet up with your class/instructor
  • Read the Dog Volunteer Handbook at the bottom of this page before attending class.
  • Dress for the weather when you come to class – you will be taking dogs out for walks during class.
  • Please be punctual or you may be turned away if you are late.

Please get a ‘ticket’ for each separate person attending class. For example, if you are coming as a parent/child pair, please get one ticket for yourself and then reserve a 2nd ticket for the child (vs reserving 2 tickets under one name). This method makes it easier and faster for the trainer to find the sheets you filled out during general orientation. You will be turned away if everyone in your party does not have a ticket/reservation.
